About This Clinic
The Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic is a specialty clinic within UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin.
The Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic diagnoses, treats, and manages the care of children and adolescents with known or suspected neurological dysfunction. We offer expertise in the assessment of neurological dysfunction involving the areas of memory, executive functioning, attention, language, fine motor coordination, visual-spatial processing, sensory perception, and learning.
The Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic care team is comprised of nationally recognized neuropsychologist who offer highly specialized care for children with neurological conditions. Our neuropsychologists also participate in many of our multidisciplinary specialty centers that focus on specific complex populations. If your child has a condition that aligns with one of our specialty centers, we will coordinate care for your child with a specialist in that area. We can also facilitate appointments with any other neuroscience specialty clinic, such as the Pediatric Neurology Clinic, Pediatric Neuro-Ophthalmology Clinic, Pediatric Neurosurgery Clinic, and Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic. With access to expert staff and advanced technology for evaluating both acute and chronic neurological conditions, we provide a wide range of comprehensive assessment services to diagnose and treat cognitive disorders associated with neurological dysfunction.

The Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic care team has specialized training in the impact of neurological dysfunction on brain development and function and provides valuable information to assist in the medical treatment and surgical planning of your child’s neurological condition. Evaluation involves a thorough assessment of various areas of physical and cognitive functioning, including attention, language, memory, motor coordination, physical and cognitive function, sensory processing, and reasoning. By focusing on the overall health of patients, our team strongly believes in the inclusion of the family in medical and surgical decision making and encourages discussions and considerations about functional and quality of life outcomes. We work with you to understand your child’s history as well as their current concerns and design a treatment and/or follow-up plan that is specific to your goals and needs. Our seamless affiliation with Dell Children’s Medical Center also allows us to offer the highest level of expertise across both inpatient and outpatient settings to enhance treatment precision and improve our understanding of your child’s condition.
Patients are cared for by a dedicated multidisciplinary care team, meaning your child will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines. Our board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric neuropsychologists have extensive experience in maximizing medical and functional outcomes in children and adolescents of all ages, from birth through young adulthood, with neurological dysfunction and work alongside a team of pediatric specialists, including psychometrists, social workers, child life specialists, and more, providing unparalleled care for patients and their families every step of the way.
We also collaborate closely with referring physicians, pediatricians, and other partners in the community to schedule and coordinate any additional care services your child may need. Our specialists can provide input and guidance for areas of your child’s life that are affected by their medical condition by assisting with school services, school re-entry, socialization, and engagement in physical activities. All of these areas impact your child’s quality of life and are an integral part of our mission at the Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic.
