Clinical Biography
Taylor P. Saley, M.D., MPH, is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist and serves as the Associate Medical Director of the Dell Children's Center for Pulmonary Hypertension, a specialty program closely associated with the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. Additionally, Dr. Saley is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Saley earned her medical degree from The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed a master's in public health from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She completed a residency in pediatrics from Children's Hospital Los Angeles and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology from Boston Children's Hospital. During her fellowship, she dedicated time to furthering her training in pulmonary hypertension and exercise physiology. She subsequently joined the faculty at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine as an assistant professor in pediatric cardiology and a pulmonary hypertension specialist. After joining Dell Children’s Medical Center, she was heavily involved in building the medical center's comprehensive pediatric pulmonary hypertension program.
Dr. Saley's clinical interests include pulmonary vascular disease—particularly its relationship with congenital heart disease and manifestation secondary to other conditions—as well as the role of exercise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary disease. She emphasizes comprehensive evaluation, multidisciplinary collaboration and strong family engagement to optimize long-term outcomes and quality of life for her patients. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every child has access to top-tier medical care and is eager to help expand access to top-tier treatment for children across Central Texas and surrounding regions.
