Michelle Lubetzky, MD, is a board-certified transplant nephrologist in the Abdominal Transplant Center, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. She specializes in ­­­internal medicine, kidney and pancreas transplantation, and nephrology. Additionally, Dr. Lubetzky is an associate professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Lubetzky earned her bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in transplant nephrology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical.

Dr. Lubetzky is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with end-stage kidney disease, including evaluation for kidney transplantation and post-transplant follow-up to manage immunosuppression and address potential transplant complications. Her research focuses on biomarkers for assessing kidney transplant status, managing failing allografts, and exploring frailty in kidney transplant patients. She is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Transplantation (ATS), and she serves on several community practice committees through her work with ATS.
