Karen Evankovich, PhD

Clinical Biography

Karen Evankovich, PhD, is a pediatric neuropsychologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. Additionally, Dr. Evankovich is an associate professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Neurology at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Evankovich earned her bachelor’s degree in human biology from Stanford University and both her master’s degree in clinical psychology and her doctorate degree in clinical neuropsychology from the University of Houston. She completed a predoctoral internship in clinical child psychology and a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Evankovich formerly served as the Clinical Program Director of Pediatric Neuropsychology at Texas Children’s Hospital and an associate professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research focuses on the cognitive and psychosocial effects of pediatric epilepsy, the cognitive and psychosocial difficulties in children and adolescents with demyelinating disorders, and the relationships of these issues to disease-related factors. She is an active member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the American Psychological Association, and the International Neuropsychological Society.

Dr. Evankovich is a pediatric neuropsychologist with UT Health Austin.
