Gunjan Dokania, MD, is a board-certified general pediatrician in Dell Children’s Medical Group Pediatrics Mueller, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in caring for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Additionally, Dr. Dokania is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Dokania received her bachelor’s degree from Panjab University in Chandigarh, India and earned her medical degree from the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, Nepal. She completed both an internship and residency in pediatrics at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

Dr. Dokania's clinical and research interests include caring for refugees, immigrant health, and international health. After completing her residency, she moved to Houston, where she served as a general pediatrician taking care of immigrant and refugee patients in a federally qualified health center for three years. She spent another three years serving as a general pediatrician in Le Bonheur Children's Hospital’s outpatient pediatric clinic. Along with providing excellent patient care, she is currently actively involved in teaching medical students and pediatric residents and serves as a continuity clinic preceptor for pediatric residents at the CommUnityCare: East Austin Health Center. She has presented multiple abstracts and published multiple peer-reviewed research articles. She is a member of American Academy of Pediatrics, Texas Medical Association, and Travis County Medical Society.

Dr. Dokania is a strong advocate for children's health and safety and extremely passionate about her role as a general pediatrician taking care of children and their families. She believes in taking a holistic approach focused on the physical, emotional, behavioral, and developmental well-being of children and newborns.
