Faheem Mahomed, MD

Clinical Biography

Faheem Mahomed, MD, is a board-certified pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in the assessment and rehabilitation of children with neurological disorders. Additionally, Dr. Mahomed is an assistant professor of medicine in the Dell Medical School Department of Neurology.

Dr. Mahomed received both a bachelor's degree and a medical degree in a combined six-year program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He earned his fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation at the University of California Davis Health and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Dr. Mahomed has published multiple articles and conducts research and teaches residents through his faculty position at Dell Medical School. Additionally, he is active in various community service groups and projects. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
