Clinical Biography
Esha Mahal, MS, CGC, is a board-certified genetic counselor within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in evaluating and providing genetic risk assessments for patients affected by inherited forms of cardiovascular conditions.
Mahal earned her bachelor’s degree in public health from the University of Washington, where she gained experience in translational research and supporting individuals with disabilities. She later completed her master’s degree in human genetics and genetic counseling at Stanford University, training in additional specialties including variant interpretation, cancer, prenatal and medical genetics.
Mahal's academic interests include patient community engagement and public health genetics initiatives. She is committed to providing comprehensive care and addressing the needs of the family along with her patients.
