Clinical Biography

Amy Greenwood Hemingway, DNP, CNS, CPNP AC/PC, is a licensed acute care pediatric nurse practitioner in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. With over 30 years of experience working with patients with congenital heart disease and their families, she specializes in community outreach and strategy.

Amy Hemingway earned her bachelor’s in nursing from Texas Christian University and her master’s in nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston . She also earned a post-master’s certificate as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a second post-master’s certificate as a pediatric nurse practitioner in acute care from Rush University Medical College.

Amy Hemingway’s clinical interests include helping patients and their families find the best possible cardiac care for their particular condition and ensuring that they have a positive experience and feel cared for and valued. She is a recipient of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Health Foundation’s Be-The-Change Grant, the Good Samaritan Foundation’s Excellence in Nursing Award, and has been recognized as one of Houston’s Top Nurses.
