Carly M. Farrell, PA-C, is a licensed physician assistant in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in pediatric and congenital heart surgery.
Carly M. Farrell earned her master’s in physician assistant studies from Francis Marion University and her bachelor’s in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry from West Chester University. She also completed a physician assistant fellowship in pediatric surgery at Texas Children's Hospital.
Carly M. Farrell formerly served as a patient care technician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also served as a research specialist in breast and oral cancer research. Her clinical interests include the multifaceted continuum in which patients experience a seamless transition from pediatric to adult care. She is currently working to help develop a specialized transition of care for adult congenital heart disease patients seen through the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
